Social events
Almost as important as the yearly conference, is the social events! This is where the connections in our community form – providing an opportunity for attendees to connect with each other, compare their experiences and share their knowledge on a personal level.
Pasty and a pint
Registration and check in opens from 3pm on the day before Agile on the Beach, so this is the party before the conference! We welcome early arrivals in a typically Cornish style… with a *proper pasty, a pint on the roof terrace of the AMATA building and plenty of opportunities for pre conference network building.
*Gluten free, vegan and vegetarian option available
The beach BBQ
On the first night we transport everyone 10 minutes down the road to Gyllyngvase beach for a delicious BBQ, ice creams, beach games and live music. At the end of the evening we finish off by toasting marshmallows over an open fire as the sun goes down.
The (retro)spective boat party
On the final day, and after the closing Keynote, those lucky enough to have bagged themselves a boat party ticket (these always sell out) catch the shuttle bus from the campus down to the Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth town centre. From the historic port on the mouth of the river Fal we set out on a on a sunset sail, either out into the bay or up the stunning estuary, again enjoying some delicious food and drinks as the sun sets.
After this, we hit the town for the final party.
