Incrementally Improving Performance
The way we do performance reviews is broken. The usual yearly cycle doesn’t work and it just ends up de-motivating everyone involved.
Objectives become irrelevant or forgotten, the business and team landscape changes, and people simply don’t get comfortable being a part of something that only happens once or twice a year. It becomes de-motivating for both team members and managers and is just something ‘to get out of the way’ each year before moving onto ‘real work’.
It doesn’t have to be like this. Let’s change it.
Learn how my team improved how we review performance while continuing to fit within our company’s traditional processes.
A VP Engineering at Bloom & Wild I help people deliver software more effectively. Over the last 19 years I’ve worked in coaching, training and leadership positions in companies such as Nokia. Ericsson, Motorola and the YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP, as well as advising a number of mobile and e-commerce companies on development, testing and delivery strategies. I am co-curator of the Testing In The Pub podcast and regularly write and present about all things leadership and software.
