From 10 to 4000 deployments a year on the John Lewis & Partners Digital Platform
How do you go from 10 to 4000 deployments a year, at one of Britain’s oldest, largest, and most popular retailers?
In 2017, John Lewis & Partners had an ecommerce monolith with 10 deployments a year. We committed to a digital platform and cloud-based microservices. In 2019, we had 22 teams with 30 products, and 4000+ deployments
We’d like to share how we’ve built our digital platform, some of our socio-technological challenges, and how we encourage Continuous Delivery and Operability at scale
