Since 2011, Agile on the Beach has become known as the relaxed conference where the agile community meet to share fresh thinking and insight, listen to new theories and ideas, and put them all into practice with their peers. Developers, testers, product managers, UX specialists and those interested in the wider applications of Agile all congregate to hear from world-class speakers and to swap latest tips and stories over a pasty and a pint of Cornish ale.

Now, Aston University will use its vibrant green campus to help bring that beach to Birmingham and host Agile on the Beach (on tour) on Wednesday 9th October 2019 as part of the city’s Tech Week 2019. Aston has a long-standing reputation for working at the centre of innovative support for both business and industry, working to ensure that the exchange of ideas anchor long-term success. This made it an ideal partner for AOTB’s first tour location.

The AOTB line up will draw on its ten-years of experience and feature some of the conference’s most popular speakers, with practical streams around agile teams and methods, business and product management, and the technical craft of agile software development. Topics like dual-track agile, continuous delivery and integration, and team communication will mean there’s plenty to learn for anyone who works close to the code – and for those just interested in understanding how the world of Agile functions.

There’ll also be real-world insights from the worlds of software, enterprise, finance, legal and the public sector – reflecting the City’s growing digital diversity.

Importantly, the one-day version of Agile on the Beach will bring to the city that relaxed, collaborative feel that has made the original such a success – using the peaceful setting of Aston’s campus to allow plenty of time to connect with speakers and delegates alike – with the guaranteed mix of good people, superb food and great ambiance that has made AOTB such a success.

Tickets: £195 plus vat (10% discount for groups) this includes the conference, lunch, refreshments and an evening BBQ.
