Michael Barritt, Managing Director of Sullivan Cuff Software Ltd, and co-founder of the Agile on the Beach conference will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Anticoagulation Europe (ACE) on March 9th 2013. Michael, who heads up the Camborne-based company which produces INRstar anticoagulation clinical decision support software, will be making this challenging expedition accompanied by his son, Jim, who is an experienced climber. It will take Michael approximately one week to complete the trek to the top of Kilimanjaro, which, at 5,895 metres, is Africa’s highest mountain.
Michael has chosen to raise funds for ACE due to the company’s work in this area and hopes to raise a significant amount for the charity. ACE provides support for people on anticoagulation therapy in the form of Information, advice, a quarterly magazine, web site and a telephone help line.
Michael says: “I am really excited about this challenge and really hope that I will make it to the summit. I have been training hard, but of course have no experience of how the altitude will affect me.“ Donations can be made via Michael’s Just Giving page: http://www.justgiving.com/Michael-Barritt
